What happens during a Nutritional Therapy consultation?

Before your first Nutritional Therapy appointment you will be sent a questionnaire and diet diary to complete and return before your consultation. This allows the Nutritional Therapist time to perform any necessary research and analysis before your appointment.

At the initial consultation your health, diet and lifestyle will be discussed to enable a personal health plan to be compiled, incorporating the following elements:

Overall health strategy

  • Comprehensive, individual dietary guidelines
  • Meals, recipes and recommended cookbooks
  • Shopping guidance and relevant information sheets
  • General advice for a healthy diet and lifestyle
  • Proposed supplements, if applicable
  • Support between appointments by e-mail

Diagnostic tests are also available if desired e.g. food intolerance testing.

All Nutritional Therapy consultations are entirely confidential.

Review appointments.

Nutritional Therapy review appointments are recommended, normally after 4-6 weeks, to monitor progress and amend your plan to maximise health benefits. Review appointments can be arranged by telephone if this is more convenient.

Appointment times and payment.

Early evening, weekend and daytime appointments are all available.
Please give at least 48 hours notification of cancellation to avoid a charge and allow others to see the Nutritional Therapist.

Please note that payment is by cash or cheque at the end of each consultation and prices exclude the cost of supplements and tests. All consultation timings are an approximate guide.
